Apple has updated the iTunes version to 10.5, thus preparing for iOS 5 release tomorrow. Earlier, iTunes 10.5 was in beta and available for download only for developers in addition to iOS 5 GM version. This iTunes version has the upcoming features which you would be able to experience in iOS 5 such as iCloud. With iTunes 10.5, you can store all your music and TV purchases in iCloud without any extra cost.
If you have multiple iOS devices, you can seamlessly push the stored data on each of them. It would definitely make you life easier. If you had purchased any song previously using iTunes, now you can get it all on your iDevices in the purchased section. Cut the cord feature which let you sync your iDevices on the same wireless network. iOS 5 will hit iTunes 10.5 tomorrow at any time, that is, on October 12 which Apple mentioned during iPhone 4S announcement.
If you want to upgrade your device to iOS 5, you are advised to upgrade to iTunes 10.5.
